At Bet Knesset Hesed shel Emet (Congregation Mercy & Truth) our members form a warm and caring community. We are modern in our outlook and deeply rooted in Judaism. The Congregation is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. There is active participation by both men and women, and we welcome the energy of children in our services.

We believe that the Jewish tradition is a source of joy, hope, and healing. Religious services for Shabbat and Festivals are filled with a sense of celebration and warmth.

Bet Knesset has a Religious School which provides individualized attention for a well rounded Jewish Education. Our program begins with Kindergarten and extends through High School. It is our belief that the education of our children is the responsibility of the entire community, and we therefore charge no tuition of our members for participation in our school programs. At Mercy & Truth we also believe that Jewish Education is a life long endeavor, and a continuing program of Adult Studies is an integral part of Congregational life.

The Congregation sponsors an active chapter of Jewish Women's League and an innovative program for teens through USY.

We welcome all individuals and families who want to pray, study and socializes with each other. We support one another in life's happy and sad moments. Our Rabbi, David Wortman, provides warm and dynamic leadership, and is involved in all aspects of our community. With him we strengthen our commitment to Jewish life, prayer, study and action.

We invite you to join our extended family. For further information please call the Synagogue office at 610-326-1717.
